Dr. B. Todd Chappell serves as Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Fertility Associates of Memphis. He is board-certified in general OB/GYN and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also certified in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Focused Practice through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has more than 17 years of experience.
In his role at FAM, Dr. Chappell focuses on initial infertility evaluations and complex surgery, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. His surgical interests include myomectomy, endometriosis, cesarean scar defects, abdominal cerclage, uterine anomaly repair, and general gynecology surgeries including hysterectomy.
Born and raised in northwest Tennessee, Dr. Chappell graduated from the University of Memphis in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 2005 and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2009, serving as administrative chief resident in his final year.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, Memphis Medical Society, and Memphis OB/GYN Society.
When not helping patients, Dr. Chappell enjoys spending time with his wife Katey, family, friends, and his dogs Emma, Max, and Molly. He is an avid University of Memphis supporter and attends as many Tiger football and basketball games as possible. He also enjoys cheering on the Memphis Grizzlies.
